The team

We are Sara and Lucas Baptista, missionaries with Iris Global for 11 years, 7 of them serving in Thailand. Our family carries in its heart the call to proclaim the love of Jesus and to see lives transformed by the power of the Gospel.

Our greatest desire is to see Thai leaders being raised up, people who are victims of exploitation finding freedom and restoration, and disciples of Jesus being formed to transform their families, communities and nation.

We walk in this mission with our children Tito, Mallu and Luiz, also carrying in our hearts the precious memory of our José, who is now in heaven, and the joy of another baby on the way.

We believe that the Gospel transforms lives, restores stories and raises up a generation that will reveal Jesus to Thailand. That is why we keep going: to love, to serve, to make disciples and to see the Kingdom of God advance among the nations.

Jan is Thai, and her own story carries a testimony of restoration and transformation through the love of Jesus. What God has done in her life has become part of her mission: working so that other women may also find hope, dignity, freedom and a new story.

Today, as project director, Jan devotes her life to welcoming, serving and walking alongside women in vulnerable situations, especially those affected by exploitation. Her heart is to see each woman discover her worth, recognise God's purpose for her life and find a path to restoration.
